  1. Hello again, what a pity Anglo Info make those conditions, I got my last kitten off the Anglo Info site, but I actually placed a message (3 months ago) looking for a kitten rather than offering one up for a home, but when I took the kitten offered to me, it needed worming, neutering, microchipping - so it seems a bit strange that they make that sort of one-sided ruling. If I hear of anyone looking for a kitten or two in the near future I will tell them about yours. Good luck, I hope you find a home for them soon. Judy
Judy
  3. Hi Candice, why don't you try putting a message on the AngloInfo forum for Normandy? You may have some luck there in homing your two kittens, I notice on that forum that people have actually put messages on looking for a kitten or kittens to give a nice home to. If you need the web site name let me know. But I guess you must already be aware of it. I already have four cats now, having just taken on one myself that was homeless. Good luck anyway. Judy
Tanti Saluti - Judy
  5. We have lived here since last September. I agree with what other people have said. Supermarket shopping is definitely cheaper and the quality of the fruit, veg and meat always seems a lot better in France compared to the UK. You have to bear in mind too that medical costs will be more, everything is not free like it is in the UK, though everyone I know is very impressed with the hospitals, speedy treatment etc., in France. I agree though, that the cost of heating in the winter is the most costly item, I was quite surprised at how much wood we had to buy, though we have two wood burning stoves and no central heating. Our electricity costs were quite high too if we used the electric fan heater, so next winter we will find an alternative cheaper option to that. We live in Normandy near St. Lo. The main thing for us however, is the quality of life, which is so much nicer than the UK - you can't really put a price on that can you. Judy
  6. Thank you very much for the replies, I now know what to do with these forms! It is such a help to be given correct advice. Judy
  7. I am a bit confused regarding the 20 euros we pay the Doctor when we visit him - how is the 20 euros reimbursed to us?? I thought it would automatically go back into my bank account but now I am wondering if I have got it wrong! Am I supposed to send the 'Feuille de Soins - Medecin' form the doctor gives me for paying 20 E. to some office before I get the money back? I already have the Carte Vitale. I will be grateful for advice on this. Judy
