We have found that the only way to get rid of them is to pick them off and squidge them.  Don't forget to keep an eye on your aubergines as well and to a lesser extent your tomatoes.  They are all the same family.

We charge 20 euros a week (or pro rata) in winter - partly because our rental cost in winter is as low as possible anyway.  For the 20 euros they get unlimited kindling, logs, etc and access to a log pile which is kept topped up for them.  As we all know, it is surprising how much wood even a small woodburner can use if kept going 24 hours per day.

My husband spoke to Xaffinity who are the pension provider for the Navy and they say that his pension was treated as usual this month: it is supposed to be available in a UK bank account on the 4th and so they transferred it 3 working days beforehand; this time it took a whole week to reach our French account.  It would appear that someone is making a reasonable amount in interest from these transfers - I can transfer money from one UK account to another in minutes.....
