1.
We opted for a security cover which we purchased from our pool supplier. It was a self build kit pool 9.5m x 5m from Waterair. The cover is very effective and cost about €3100. If you look at Waterai...
When one considers that a farmer in England can buy a large straw stack cover for £150 it makes you wonder why the inflated price.
 2. Hello I have had a pool installed since last September & am now into my 3rd. Alarm the first one worked ok for about 2 weeks  & problems ever since ie. not working or going off when no one using pool, The firm supplying ( their own alarm I think) is opperating internationally but they say they will send the electrician & he never comes! For the price paid about 440 Euros it is very poor service & I am beginning to think they dont have the answer to the problems. When the guarantee  runs out I suppose one is expected to buy another alarm!!! or put up a regulation fence. Has anyone had this sort of trouble & what is the answer?  horace
 3. I have used a french plumber twice before & been satisfied with his price. Recently I had need for him to attend to my pressure jet boiler which refused to start. he soon found that the problem was a blocked filter which was on the inlet pipe inside the fuel tank. His charge for labour was ok but he added a call out charge of 60 Euros which he hadnt done on a previous boiler call out. The total charge without tax was 160Euros for approx 2.5hrs work which I think is very exorbitant. What is a normal charge for craftsmen in France?: Old Bill
