Hallo - does anyone know of a stockist, shop, store in the Normandy/Brittany region that sells the painted porcelain wash bowls, the type that sit on top of a surface. The only manufacturer I can find is Herbeau in Lille. We are near Pontivy in Brittany and perhaps some of you have seen these around. The bowl type would have the hole in the bottom for attaching the waste. I thought of the pottery shops down at Quimper - anyway would appreciate some feedback Thanks[:D] Gary

Hi I don't have SKY - is it possible to video record these films same as you do from our own TV, 'cos if it is I could save a fortune on buying more films - if I can find someone with SKY who will do it for me! Anyone with SKY know this? Ta Gary

Can anyone help? There is an old black and white British film about WW2 and the French resistence. I saw it years back but cannot remember the name. However there is a very stirring moment in the film someone may remember. People are in a cafe with German soldiers either sat at tables or have just come in to look for someone. There is a silence and then some music starts up - it is the Marseillese. Then a woman stands up and starts to sing then another....and the Germans look uncomfortable - I think. Not much to go on, but for those of us who watch films with a French bias perhaps you will recognise it. TIA Gary

Can you help me - Northants Based - I have a Metronic Digital Satellite with a twin LNB for Hotbird and Astra 28 so I recieve ARTE, TV5 France 5 RTB and TV5 Europe. Are the other French channels available by digital or are they analogue and if so how can I get TF1 France 2 and 3 in UK? Or can I? TIA Gary

I have just bought a Jane Birkin album - Arabesque and I think its brillant. Must be many of you who already know of her - so what would be a good album of hers to buy next perhaps a compilation album as I will probably have to use amazon or something as the Arabesque was the only one HMV sold. Hi Amelie Being quite new to the forum I am just trolling thru the things that interest me but this really is one - films and music Jean de Florette and Manon des sources has got to be two of the best films in any language....I think I love The Horseman on the Roof and of course "Amelie" I dont know if any of you are into the Breton music but Carlos Nunez Un galacian en Bretagne is great.
