Deep breath then! Perhaps Laurier would give us an idea of the age range of OH as his/hers went through OK and using passport - I'm 71.Do you know over what age, the medical was asked for?I was going to use our CDS as mine has my maiden name, but as they are pre-Brexit thought that might complicate things. How long since you updated yours?Don't know how long yet, applied yesterday, website says 15 days. Regards

Hello, just to share my experience.Had 'photos done today, 12 euros, got 4 pics to take away also.Started on ANTS with mine, bit trickier as licence is in maiden name, so when I was locked out of going further after entering name, address, 'phone no. I panicked. Tried a couple more times, then thought it might be due to Bexit.Decided to try OH's which went through ?Succeeded in applying for mine tonight, must have been a computer blip earlier, phew! For info. used passports, EDF bill (is in both names), front and back of current French licence. Will post when/if received. Regards.

Wow, many thanks for the detailed reply. Inspired to get on with ours this coming week, will be one less thing to fret about!

Hello, so pleased to read your message! I keep putting it off as still have a few month's left on the licence, plus read horror stories about the Ants problems. But thought of doing it early in case of back logs.Did you apply in advance of the licence expiration?Regards

Mmm....was that all done online? Thanks.

Many thanks ?

Thanks for your reply. You didn't have to tick any boxes then as to which categories you required? Did you apply well in advance? Could you also tell me how the electronic signature works.Thanks.

Hello, wondering if anyone has any experience of having to renew a French driving licence.Unfortunately mine has an expiry date on the front and this is in a few month's time. I somehow ended up with a five year one when I exchanged my U K one. I think this is because of the heavy goods categories on UK licences, and the exchange like for like.I don't need these categories, nor want to have a medical. So if anyone has any info. before I go to the website to apply, I would be grateful.Thanks.

Hello, there is a poster on another french forum (don't suppose it can be mentioned?) who is taking up these cases with the British Embassy on behalf of people in a similar situation.

Thank you for your replies, all been so stressful hasn't it. Especially as there will be many of us who have reached a time in our lives when health problems begin to crop up. Hopefully this time next year we'll be able to relax again.Regards M.

Hello again, thought that we'd apply for these cards as had them in the past, though not been outside of France for fifteen years!OH's went through with verification e-mail, my e-mail says it will be looked into first.Decided to look out our S1's only to find that I don't have one, I registered for health care with an E121. Anyone else out there who registered with an E121? Presume this will still be valid as have had letters from UK about Brexit stating "as you are an S1 form holder..."Regards

Thank you all. I had initially thought that the first poster was referring to the Health Care in France received under the Carte Vitale.

Hello, please can you give more information about this. I wasn't aware that we had to do anything, thinking under the withdrawal agreement things would continue next year. Don't seem to have been able to find where to apply. Thanks.

Sue, yes I have also done the 2047. Thanks.

Thank you Suein56 and Norman H for the replies and example. "That is under the limit for paying tax in the UK so you are exempt, and you are not taxable on it in France either." This was what I was concerned about, thinking that as I had not paid tax in the UK I should be fully taxed on it in France. But it is just used to calculate which tax band the OAP will fall into.So just as a final check.....OAP and local government pensions both go into box 1AS and then government pension is entered again into box 8TK?
-
Hello Mac. Yes, I have entered it onto the blue french form by adding it to the state pension and declaring both as one total in the same box 1AS. I just thought that there wouldn't be any credit from France as have not paid tax on it in the UK, so wasn't sure whether to still put the amount into the box 8TK. Thanks.

Good morning, having read your useful info on how to enter state pension and local govt pension onto french tax return, could I ask the following:Though taxable in the UK, my local govt pension falls under the UK tax allowance and therefore no tax is taken out. Do you think that there is any point in entering the figure in the 8TK box and on the back of the pink form as I assume no tax relief needed. Would it have implications for anything else if I don't.Thank you.
