Dear all Yes, another plea for homes for kittens. Yet another sorry tale that has left us with 4 kittens needing homes as we are trying to sort out to keep the mother and one kitten. They are 6 weeks old, being litter trained and very loved etc. There is: one black, one black and white, one tabby, one ginger & white. All are semi long haired, very affectionate and beautiful. I am trying everywhere to find homes (along with many others I realise). We are in Dept 79 near Sauze-Vaussais, if anyone can help or know of a kind home(s) or put word out please contact me asap. Big big thanks. Hi, We had the same problem as all local suppliers were sold out or had a large delivery cost as we couldn't fit the water butt in the car. In the end we ordered one from Castorama on www.castorama.fr site, (the nearest Castorama to us is one hour drive away). They delivered one within 3 days and the cost of delivery was just over 5 euros. When we looked to buy there were over 15 different ones to choose from. The service was really good and simple to use. If I remember correctly it was called tonneau de pluie. Best wishes, Sharon

We are looking to give a very good home to a kitten or young cat. We have also contacted the shelter in Angouleme. Does anyone know of someone who can help. Any replies would be very much appreciated. Many thanks.

Dear all We are nearing the completion of our French home. But on our contract the immobilier has added the figures incorrectly and the figure is 300 euros more than it should be. It clearly shows an error in calculation. We e-mailed her and her reply was that although there was an error in calculation the notaire has now said we will be charged an extra 300 euros more than what the contract states. We have been given no reason why. Has anyone else had this situation? Thank you in advance for any thoughts.

I wonder if anyone can help? We have been looking for any books on wiring/electrical installations for French property. Cannot find one anywhere, although there are many property restoration books available they don't hit on the topic much. French or English language would be fine (obviously not English electrics as they are just a tad different)..... any ideas anyone? Thanking you kindly.
