I am trying to renovate my cottage in S. Brittany using original materials, and having little money, would like to obtain anything cheaply! Are there any reclamation yards in the area where I could have a good rumage or scavenge for useful secondhand materials. Slates, terracota tiles, etc would be useful. Thank you.

The use of linseed oil on quarry tiles is the best way of sealing them, I think.
