  1. If you have a bbox you can divert all calls to answerphone (with a suitable "due to invasive cold calling I no longer answer my phone, leave a message or call my mobile" type message). The phone will not ring, unless it is a number you have entered as being friendly, or unless someone tries 3 times in a minute to contact you.

Cold callers will never leave a message, and also, since I stared doing this I can see from my call list that all cold calls seem to have stopped.
  2. But apparently cheaper than his 2 predecessors...

"En effet, François Hollande employait une maquilleuse à temps plein pour un salaire de 6 000 euros net par mois, soit 30 000 euros par trimestre en incluant les charges. Quant à Nicolas Sarkozy, il avait essayé un système de prestation extérieure avant d'être rattrapé par la Cour des comptes et d'embaucher une salariée, Marina Michelet, qui a récemment confié ses souvenirs à Vanity Fair. Cette dernière était rémunérée 8 000 euros par mois environ, affirme le mensuel".
  3. Unless, of course, they do a demi-tour

  4. Me neither. Online bullying pushing youngsters to suicide, the narcissism of posting endless selfies, the isolation of online "friends" vs real ones. And that's without even getting started on sexting and then revenge posting of the same photos on social media.

Ok, my little girl ask me to correct her homework so I did with a pen. I crossed out all the 'gots' because they weren't needed. She said that was the exercise you idiot. I said oops. I phoned my mum who is indeed a professor and has written and published many books. She agreed that the 'gots' weren't needed. I had no choice but to write a little note explaining why I had butcherd her homework.

[/quote]Why would she ask you, of all people? And why would you correct her homework with a pen? Frankly I don't believe a word of it. You must have way too much spare time on your hands!
  6. I can't find any recent figures (probably not yet published) but I found this for 2012 http://invs.santepubliquefrance.fr/Publications-et-outils/Rapports-et-syntheses/Maladies-infectieuses/2015/Morbidite-et-mortalite-des-infections-a-bacteries-multi-resistantes-aux-antibiotiques-en-France-en-2012 someone will have to make the link clickable though There is a long list of reference publications here http://invs.santepubliquefrance.fr/Dossiers-thematiques/Maladies-infectieuses/Resistance-aux-anti-infectieux/Publications-de-reference again, chrome has scuppered the click.
  7. Any insulin dependent diabetic knows that unopened insulin should be stored in the fridge, as once removed it will only last a month or less. In the fridge it will last until the expiry date. It is only the phial, pen, or cartridge of insulin currently in use that should be at room temperature.
