  1. Cheers Tinabee It looks like it could cost thousands rather the hundreds, as the court has ordered shared costs, had it been the latter i would not have bothered as the time taken to sort out would come to more than the cost to go over and waste my time, this makes it more reasonable to attend and get some money back, also a good excuse to eat, fish and drink. do everything French.
  2. Im trying to find a rough price as I can split the cost with her, if it is hundreds I will cover it but if it comes out to thousands then Im best to pay only half, looks like i will have to pop over with the translation to see the notaire and see the what is the the French norm. Dave
  3. Thanks tinabee, Looks like thats my only option, just hoped to find someone whose gone through it to get an idea of cost, they say it is the new hobby of the over 50's to get divorced, prob was when I started but has gone on for 21/2 years now and lots of money, fishing may have been a better.
  4. Divorce is final at last but not sure now how to continue, House was purchased en-tontine and I now have to have the ownership transferred to me only, I need an estimate for this to take place to put to English court but Notaire wants information before doing this to assign half value to wife, her half has already been accounted for on settlement, what is the normal action Dave
