I'm trying to confirm the French translation for the following motivational quote I'm using with a sports team: "The pain will pass, defeat will stay with me forever." I've come up with: "La douleur va passer, la défaite va rester avec moi pour toujours." Different online translators have had slight variations, and I really want to ensure it is written as a native French speaker would phrase it. If anyone could give any advice as to the accuracy of my attempt and if there's a better way of writing it, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks!
