Dear Jouals Our 14 year old Springer Spaniel unfortunately had to be put down last week due to ill health and a failing heart.  He was also a rescue dog and we had him for 11 years.  As our home is empty without a dog and we have seen your posting for Taro, we would be grateful if you could provide us with additional information:- Is Taro still available for re-homing and, if so, is there a charge for this dog; Does he socialise well with other animals i.e. chickens and other dogs; Do you have any more information on his previous life.  You mention that he is approximately 2 years old - has he been abused or was he handed in by someone who could give you background information on him. Information on us:  We are a fit couple in our early 60's living on a large property approx. 6500 sq M, with farmland surrounding our property which is a safe environment for dogs and plenty of space to walk an active Springer.  We have previously had two Springer Spaniels, our first one also died at the age of 14 years and we are aware of how much exercise they require.  There are no other dogs in our household and always just have one dog at any time so he gets lots of attention and love.   We no longer earn money working but do a lot of work on our property as we have large gardens to maintain and also have chickens.  We live in the Sauze Vaussais area which is quite some distance from Cahors, nearly 300 kilometers away.
