Cathar Tours - I said sorry - I have little concern whether you accept it or not - I suspect your rejection is for other previous reasons. However this thread is indeed pure speculation as to what will happen and so is pretty meaningless at the moment.

So Nomoss should have the understanding to know that the UK cannot be self sufficient. What is so smartass about my comment - it is a true comment on the facts that large quantities of goods needed to be brought in from elsewhere and the UK paid heavily for them. If you are so much for Brexit then I suggest that you return to the UK to "enjoy" the consequences.I'm sorry for disrupting this thread - but really who knows what will happen in the future for Brits in France. Its all speculation.

Nomoss might give an answer - he said today that UK managed well for food during the two WWs. And that was without an NHS at the timeI think some convoy people would not be too impressed. And only recently has the UK paid off its debts to the US!!!!

Over to you Dr Theiere.

I applaud your practicality in possible moments of grief.IMHumbleO the best approach is to plan ahead as you are doing. For such things in the UK, in my experience, Coop as a national company gives an OK service. Local services give a similar service as well. So, either look at local providers perhaps via the Marie or friends if you feel confident in doing so, or go with a national provider. The last thing you will want is to worry about being ripped off. I should think that all funeral directors will offer an all inclusive service and, yes, that is what you will definitely need.

I think its an advert Dr Theiere. If not then you should be positive about their post. Why not report?

IMHumbleO labour were in the doldrums due to the Bliar and new labour being more right wing than many toriesA return to more social values was needed. I believe that many of the Corbyn bashers actually would like labour party policies if they were to look objectively. It is a shame that the massive smearing campaign by tories and left-over Bliars is producing a bias against labour.NB Kier Starmer would be excellent.

In the interests of accuracy I think it was WB who referred to Bamfords as the company - I refereed to J C Bamford aka Joe. Being a prat I am just saying.

When I was occasionally abroad for work purposes it seemed sensible to me to stay in a hotel close to where I was working.I do not know how he recruited his staff - he took over a local business from his family and grew it but kept the headquarters around the Rocester area.An excellent engineer but also a businessman - he retired as a tax exile.

https://www.globalsources.com/gsol/I/Bulldozer/p/sm/1152314903.htm#1152314903Roadways around the JCB headquarters are being redeveloped again.A long time ago I had the privileged of talking to J.C.Bamford (he was a bit captive at the time) and his advice to me was never live more than 15 minutes from where you work. OK if you can!
-
Well, he has kept his word at last: he was "lying" in front of a bulldozer at the JCB factory today.

Worry not:https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-46916429From reading the papers there is a fairly consistent story that he was coming out of a side road onto a normally busy main road even though he was blinded by the sun. IMHO: Legally he should have waited but he will probably not be prosecuted because of who he is.

The "bakewell" tarts sold in supermarkets are tasteless. However, in Bakewell, tarts are not made - they are Bakewell Puddings and delicious.

As a Christmas present my brother received a new record player to play his LPs. It was highly amusing to watch younger members of the family getting to "grips" with it.
