  1. Today driving through rural dordogneshire I remarked to OH how similar the blue flowers along the roadside were to bluebells in our UK garden.

Despite normally OH being rather good at flower names we cant find the name of them - any ideas?

Heads are about 6 inches long.and are pretty ubiquitous. Can't be Fleur de Lys as OH says I'm wrong.

    Ta for a response.

  2. If there was any doubt:

    The guy is beyond contempt.

  3. I find it strange that the deal of the century was originally supposed to be designed by 4 people but, hey, the Muslim woman resigned and we are left with, hey,- just look at their 3 backgrounds to do with settlements etc.

    Who is he listening to?

  4. Wow - https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/trump-joe-biden-ukraine-corruption-volodymyr-zelensky-yuriy-lutsenko-a8922546.html

Perhaps aircraft carriers to the Med is the next move.

    Who is he listening to?

Perhaps he should increase to UN levels foreign aid and not spend money on weapons.

Perhaps Corbyn, not Cameron. is to blame.

    Grrr.

Nb I'm having a go at Esther McVey who has probably forgotten that she was a Barnardos child. There but for the grace of G,D (?) goes anybody in the UK. Every human born outside the UK should have the same respect.
  5. The reference I gave included this quote:

"For large heights, it is advisable to shift the cages 10 or 20 cm at each row to prevent the weight of the upper gabion come press the panels of the front panel that could deform under stress. To retain land in an embankment, a concrete foundation is not always necessary. It depends on the stability of your ground, the desired gabion height, the embankment to be withheld, any possible overloading at the rear. "

I fear it will expand into an expensive (in time and money) exercise, but the end product will be more "modern".

The retaining wall I "repaired" does remain in keeping with its surroundings as most neighbours do have old stone walls. Your decision and final result will be very interesting.

  6. Whichever way you go the same principles seem to apply.

In terms of holding back the soil I used the crossed-finger method. From your photo it looks as if not too much

    has fallen down!

  7. I hope you are not voting for someone who goes with this:

    https://www.timesofisrael.com/trump-joins-gop-chorus-rebuking-lawmaker-tlaib-for-holocaust-comments/

Read the whole article, goodness the lass is spot on and Trump comes across to me as totally obsessed with his so called New York advisers.

    What a world!!!

I hope you dont think that media in Israel is actually unbiased. Its actually totally racist towards non-jews.
