  1. Thanks for your reply Rabbi. I know it seems a bit of an odd thing to do, when it can be done as you suggest. I was just hoping if CurrencyFair could do it, the transfer would be quicker as they are open 24/7, whereas my bank is closed today and Monday. The  earliest I would be able to arrange the tranfer would be Tuesday. Also, my French is not great but probably ok setting up a 'Virement' but I would prefer to do it face-to-face rather than on the telephone. So. using CurrencyFair would save me a 20km round trip to the local bank.
  2. Hi Does anybody know if you can make a Euro to Euro bank transfer from one Credit Agricole to another Credit Agricole (different regions) using CurrencyFair or similar. I do have a Currency Fair account which I would like to do this from, but have only ever used them for Sterling to Euro transfers. I have had a look on their website, but cannot find the answer and they are closed today - so cannot telephone. Also, if it can be done is there a maximum transfer amount? - I would like to send over 20,000 euros. Any help would be very much appreciated.
  3. At last - telephone is working. The new livebox has still not turned up - tracking shows that it is being returned to 'Orange', unable to find address. I cannot be sure, but I think the problem may have been down to using the Livebox from my old address. Took a long conversation with an Orange Technician to sort the problem, we went into all sorts of tabs/settings to change things.....eventually the phone kicked in (using the old box). For 'Another' - Although the new box has still not arrived - Orange have confirmed that it would NOT be the new black Zen box, it will be the Livebox 2 . Thankyou all for your help.
  4. Thanks for your reply 'Another'. I will keep re-booting the livebox and testing the line from Orange Espace Client - as this will do no harm. I am using the Livebox 2 from my old house at the moment, but that should really be returned this weekend as you only get 10 days to return. They will probably just charge me for going over the 10 days??? When the new Livebox arrives I will let you know if it is the new 'Zen'. What I have found today is that if I ring the new number from my mobile - the home phone does NOT ring but the Orange answer service kicks and you can leave a message. I have not checked, but if I was to leave a message it would probably go to my online Orange Messagerie box. However, when I attempt to dial out from the home phone, I instantly get a recorded message in french - which I am struggling to understand, but it is something about the 'Livebox'. The phone is definately connected to the Livebox correctly as I have tested that on Orange on-line and the phone does ring. I will keep waiting and testing............
  5. Thankyou both for your replies. I think it is just a case of waiting for the phone to kick in - as you sayDerekJ...very archaic. I was just concerned that it was the livebox from my previous house that was causing the problem. I was going to return the Livebox this weekend, but I think I will hang onto it until my new one arrives. At least that way I maintain internet access.
  6. Hi I have just moved house and cancelled my Orange contract (livebox/telephone package) and rearranged connection at my new house. Orange have told me that it will take approx. 15 days to have the new line connected. We are now into 7 days and the line has been activated - the internet works fine using my Livebox2 that I have not yet returned to Orange (doing it this weekend). However,  I am unable to make telephone calls. Could this be because I am using the Livebox from my old property? Should I be waiting for the new Livebox to come through the post - really not sure how these things work? Many Thanks
  7. I am planning on replacing my existing Central Heating boiler before the winter and currently getting quotes. I found a list of Qualigaz Engineers in our area off the internet, but so far not one of the 3 companies I contacted have come out to do the quote. My local Engineer however has provided a quote but he is not Qualigaz certified and says he is unable to provide the certificate. Before I give him the go-ahead on the job, Is the certificate of conformity absolutely necessary? If it is - how do I get it and who will want to see it?. Thanks
