It's more common that you would think and you can see how it happens, but what a nightmare! I know a couple of people over here that are rapidly getting to that point and won't listen to advice ....

Absolutely! This came from a very reputable animal rescue source and is designed to show just ONE of the shockingly ill treated puppy farm mothers. It is possible the puppy is not related to the poor creature in the other picture..... but does it matter? It's precisely the state of that poor dog that they are trying to get the message over with! Puppy farms are cruel cruel places and the website in question has no scruples when it comes to posting hundreds of puppies for sale without proper ID and backgrounds - in other words never offering to show the mother!

She's just a gorgeous little character and the thought of her ending up in an SPA doesn't bear thinking about. She's currently at a stables with a relative who can't keep her - she's good with cats, dogs, kids, horses and other animals. A real good egg. She in the Deux Sevres and Hope Association are the people to get in touch with asap.... or me and I will pass your enquiry along. Thank you.

This is very good news! I am going to ask my vet about it. We have one dog who has this disease already (which we deal with) but the mosquito that carries this horrid disease is not as yet in this area they tell me. However, I suspect it's only a matter of time :(
