Thanks to everyone for the information.  I will follow up each suggestion.

Can anyone advise me as to which is the best car breakdown policy to have.  We use the AA in the UK, but are going to be spending afew weeks at a time in France.  I would prefer to have cover as an individual as opposed to a specific vehicle.
