1. Ive been reading the topic on carte de sejours & lm still not clear about it. I know the sejour is obsolete now- l dont understand if we need to apply for a titre de sejour? would there be an occasion when we would need to show one? Whats the difference between carte & titre de sejour ? does anyone know?    Fran.
2. I have applied from newcastle for the e106 form, although lve sent it off , l was told that it will take 2 months for this to come through, by which time l will be living in france. I wonder what you can do for health cover if you need it before it comes through, and how can you get a residency permit if your still waiting for your e106 form to come through???????? thank you for your help.......Fran.
3.
You are perfectly correct. There is no universal method of signing by proxy. Some notaires are happy with a minimum of paperwork others (like the original questioner's) require the full legal process.
Our agent has told us that we need to have the documentation translated and our signatures witnessed by a solicitor. We are now thinking that we could just sign the papers and send them back, saving ourselves a packet?!!
4. thanks baz for your reply.......where would we find a commisioner of oaths in the uk???
5. does any one have any expirence of buying by proxy? We have been told by our agent that we need a british solicitor to translate and witness our signature. We have been quoted nearly £ 700 to do this by a bilingual solicitor.Surely theres a cheaper way??
