Trouble is, that when fitted in a house together with the stone work it probably cost around €3,000 and I have some difficulty bringing myself to throw it away. It is fully working with a vertically opening glass front and the stonework and mantle. I just don't have a place for it and I want it gone!!

Sadly, no passing traffic! Great for scrap at about 60kg, but not good for the boot of my old clio.....!

I thought that too, but I checked with my local Emmaus and it is too large an object for them. I'm surprised as it is just a standard woodburner (a René Brisach 67GL) so all it needs is two strong men and a van!

I've tried AI and had lots of response from eager people, but all words. No-one was actually prepared to collect it - it suddenly became too difficult. I might try a nearby charity organisation who also collect and recycle household items.

I have a woodburner (insert) that needs a new home. A also have the decorative stonework. Any suggestions on which forum I can advertise it on?
