Be prepared for french advice on feeding. They do expect babies to sleep through quite early on. So love to add things to the bottle. It is all a matter of preference I suppose. One doctor suggest...
Hi   Thanks CJ

Does anyone have young babies out there?  My baby is nearly 6 months old and when we moved to France was totally breastfed.  He is now moving onto bottled milk and I wonder which milk is recommended for babies of this age?  I've noticed some ready made milk for babies of over 10 months.  I am looking for something similar to SMA gold i.e. from new born.  I'm not looking for follow on milk.  If anyone knows about this I would be grateful to hear from you.  Also I'm quite keen to get some sort of French guide to weaning etc.  Do you know if you would just get this at the DRs or elsewhere or any websites would be good too.   Thanks very much
  4. Hello Does anyone have a centrally heated property availalbe to rent for some months, while we are property hunting, probably from October for 3-6 months.  We particularly love the village of St Thomas de Conac and would be keen to hear from anyone with property available in or around this area.  We would need a minimum of 3 bedrooms and we have 2 children, so it would need to be relatively family friendly.   Thanks and look forward to hearing any news. Very best wishes   Emily
  5. Hello I wonder whether anyone has some advice about researching Primary Schools before moving to France. We have not yet completely decided upon the area and will be renting for a while before buying anyway. However,I would really like to be able to look at Primary Schools/Nurseries before we settle on an area. Is there a way of finding out about all Primary Schools before we look at areas? Or do we need to choose the area and then check out the schools? In the UK I would check the Ofsted Reports before choosing an area so that it can be based on the school. I have seen the list of private schools in France do you know if there is a similar list of state schools? Any Help or advice would be most appreciated. Thank you
