  1. Thanks everyone for all of your replies - really useful.  The van is already insured here in the UK - so I don't want to have to pay double insurance (i.e for when we bring it back..but it looks as though we might have to :-)
  2. Hello everyone - can anyone help me?? We have a 9 seater VW Caravelle LWB, and are going out to France for the winter season to run our ski chalet in the pyrenees.  It is obviously registered here in the UK - but we need to insure it in France as we will be picking people up to/from airports.  All of the english insurance companies won't insure us in france as we are going for 4 months, and obviously we will be coming back to the UK in  April so don't want to register it in France - any ideas? Kind Regards Paula www.vivelespyrenees.com
  3. Hi everyone - I've searched but can't find an answer to my query. We are moving to France in November, and want to lease a van for our CDH/Ski business,  Ideally we would like a Renault Trafic, but are flexible to 9 seater options.  The question I have is..how do I lease a van in France, when we won't have any proof of financial income for us, as we are just starting out.  Am I allowed to Long term lease a Van in the UK and bring it to France for a long-term period Hope this makes sense - any help would be much appreciated! Kind Regards Paula
  4.  Hi there   I am debating as to whether to move my range cooker out with me in december, or leave it at my Uk house, and purchase a French range cooker so it is easier to install ( i.e gas connections)  Has anyone out there any advice as to what the simplest solution would be - - 1) How hard is it to convert to france , as when I contacted Belling they informed me that the Gas Burners would have to be changed.  Also I haven't really had any joy finding a £1000 range cooker in france - as they all seem to be chef professional cookers - nearer the £3000 mark.  Am I looking in the wrong place?  Our area is in the Pyrenees, near to Tarbes Many Thanks Paula
