Yes in my local UK hospital they take the xrays immediately, then they take 10 days for the results, which is not what I am used to, don't like, don't want, throwing my dummy out of the pram here. Just believe with their computer systems etc that this is inefficient and too darned slow. Same with blood tests, too long to get them.
I don't understand why my UK GP needs a week to get the results of a blood test when my vet gets the results of my dog's blood test in 24 hours.

Many thanks for all the replies that makes me feel much better about this.

Your opening post mentions E111.
In my reading of it he quotes an E106 or S1 - not an E111.
But later in the post he does refer to an E111 -

And in the US he owns Fox News which is very supportive of the Republican party, so they will not want to rock the boat. The Democrats - well if they rock the boat he may campaign even more for the Republicans. Then of course there are his US papers.
But whay has he been allowed to control so many newspapers in the UK - surely it is uncompetitive?
Because our gutless politicians want to keep in his good books. It wouldn't surprise me if generous contributions to party funds eased the way around the monopolies commission -
My mother used to use the solution you use for sterilising babies bottles for the rubber bands.

It seems that News Corporation Inc (the Murdoch parent company0 may be in breach of US laws against bribing foreign officials. This would apply of any employee of the company made payments to example the UK police. it seems what goes around comes around[:)]
Observation until the late 80s I enjoyed sole "patria potestas" over the foreign travel of children.
At least there has been progress since then

Apparently his full name was Jackson DeForest Kelley. Perhaps his mother called him Jack?
As for Savannah, isn't that a mis-spelling of a word meaning tropical grassy plain? If we are going to name children after towns then I suggest Bacup, Kettering and Cleethorpes as suitable.
The actor who played Dr McCoy in "Star Trek" was called DeForest Kelly. Where did that come from? What is the diminutive? What did his mother shout when she wanted him to come in for dinner? Deffy?
His full name was Jackson Deforest Kelley so I expect she shouted "Jack" when she wanted him. If he didn't come quickly then she might have shouted "Deffy"[:D]

That "legally" word again!
What law do you reckon they would have broken if they were not UK resident?
Simple. Its called falsely completing an application form. (providing a fictitious address)
£1000.00 fine used to be the penalty, I've not checked recently.
Provided you give an address where you can be contacted(Good friend or family) then I doubt if you would be prosecuted -

When I had my wallet stolen while I was resident abroad and so losing my licence DVLA advised me they could issue a new one but they needed a UK address. They were aware of my situation and were very helpful.

Please do not tell anyone I am a qualified compositor, letterpress & litho printer and a typographer. But to make serious money I have worked in design, repro, proofing, platemaking, binding, cutting & creasing and everything to do with producing books from draft to bookshop. I find if you cannot do it yourself how can you employ and tell others what to do.
Stay mum....
