  1. I have just sold my vehicle and am considering my next move. Do I buy a car in the uk - (seem much cheaper)second hand and bring it over or do I buy one here in France (seem very expensive)? I'm really not bothered about RHD/LHD as I am used to both. I have Euros.

Any advice, experience etc... very, very much appreciated as I know nothing about cars at all. Thanks
  2. I'm sorry if this issue has been covered before. I am considering buying a new kangoo van (two seats) from the UK and importing it into France where I am resident. I won't be paying VAT on it in the UK but will be require to pay TVA. I have noticed whilst searching on French site that TVA may be "recuperable" on utility vehicles. Could that be the case for a new one imported from the UK.

Thanks so much for any advice.
  3. Hi

I'm the original poster.  Sorry that I've caused a bit of a row!  Anyway, just curious what's the objection to the KYMO.  I've seen good reviews on the internet.  The seller is asking 1250 euros for a bike owned just by him, registered in 2006 but it's only done 1250km.  Is this not a good deal?  I really know nothing about scooters whatsoever and am looking for advice.  I want a scooter to be more ecological.

    Thanks again

  4. Thanks for responding Mel.  What are you getting?

After thinking about it for a bit - I think I might need something with a bit more power - 125cc I think.  Does anyone know if there any legal limitations in France?  Would a 125 scooter be ok for doing longish journey of 50km or so?

    Thanks for your time
