Does anyone know of any self help group in France related to children born with a Cleft Lip and palate. Alternatively, does anyone have any experience of the protocol in France for surgery and orthodonty in this area. We are concerned primarily with the later care. Doug and Lin.

In a recent discussion in France it was suggested to us that the Clause Tontine was not necessarily the ideal way of ensuring the rights of the surviving partner. The suggestion made was that the 'Communite Universelle' (I might have the spelling wrong) was a relatively expensive but more certain way of overcoming the problem. This would need to be drawn up by a solicitor. Can anyone throw any light on this from their own experiences. The recommendation came from a French national. Doug and Lin Gordon

We too are almost at the point of committing to a new life. We have a girl of three and twin boys of two and a half. So far we have had nothing but encouragement from people in France concerning the move with young children. Where in France are you looking? Doug.
