Jimmy replied to jcoquill's topic in French Satellite TV, French Internet and Telephone
I see we have censorship on this forum now, two posts have gone from this thread without any explanation. -

Thanks for that SD, I've been looking for a site that sells spares for a trailer I am building and your search suggestion came up with THIS which may be of use to the OP as well.
Hi Sid No I didn't find the Lapeyre one I will have another look. We have always been happy with their stuff, especially the made to measure windows we had (necessity rather than personal choice), which were very good quality and really not that expensive. Will look again, thanks.
Why not just browse their catalogue HERE

Jimmy replied to Richard's topic in French Satellite TV, French Internet and Telephone
I would rather hear about a free proxy server that worked. -
MPEG-4 AVCH.264
Jimmy replied to pachapapa's topic in French Satellite TV, French Internet and Telephone
Out of interest why on earth would you want to play home movies in the car? and why only 8Gb when the camera supports 32Gb on an SDHC card? -
OR Google Translate which comes up with "You must download this PDF file on your computer, print and sign"
This still doesn't explain the difference, perhaps a heating engineer could clarify. I suppose it must have additives which help stop jet blockage but wonder if it is worth premium price especially when new jets are only about 15€ and we have one fitted at every service.

A cryptic reply which doesn't help the OP in the slightest [blink]
Let me be more explicit the green card in france is coloured green and consists of two green bits. Am I unique or does someone else have a vehicle matriculated in france with a green square stuck on their windscreen?
Yet another stupid, wind up response from pachapapa. The OP said they were "travelling to France in a couple of weeks" not that they lived in France.
No different really from English speaking banks in France , they too are open to anybody but are designed to meet the needs of certain residents.
Can you direct me to one where I can get better terms and conditions than my French neighbour?
-
What point would that be then? Banks offering a service that suits the requirements of some of their customers. No different really from English speaking banks in France , they too are open to anybody but are designed to meet the needs of certain residents.
Why would you then offer an account just for Muslims (or any other race/creed for that matter) with different rates to everyone else? It is obvious from your response you didn't read the details on the Lloyds website. Go overdrawn with a "normal" account and you incur charges of £20 a day. Do the same with a "Muslim" account and you are charged a flat £15 fee. That would be the point! Why not alter the rate for every account? Why call it a "Muslim" account? ".....until now their banking needs have been largely uncatered for and many British Muslims have often had to bank in a way that is against their principles.' It is against my principles to pay excessive charges to a bank!
-
Me-thinks you miss the point!
-
Have you still got an account at Lloyds bank? Perhaps it is time to become a Muslim in name only. http://www.weeklygripe.co.uk/a788.asp

perhaps if you try to draw out more than 10€........................

child car seat regulations in france for my 9 year old
Jimmy replied to KC's topic in Driving in France
France: Children under 10 years of age are not allowed to travel in the front seat of a car unless they are a baby, that is 9 months old or under and weigh less than 9kg, but they must be in an appropriate baby seat (rear facing) unless there is an airbag fitted, when they are not allowed on the front seat at all. In the rear seats all children under 10 must be in the right restraint, if their weight is between 9 and 15kg a child seat and over 15 kg's a booster type seat. You can hire a seat from car hire firms but they are expensive and it is probably cheaper to bring your own. -

We have been waiting patiently for the explanation but it seems it is not to be. I love the cute mixture of French and English.
