1. There were a number of things I didn't like about his seech not least his attempting to make mileage out of the fact he hasn't seen his children and that they will be together soon.

2. I don't know the circumstances how he was allowed into the alleged victim's house a second time, but even allowing for bad judgement on the part of the alleged victim in allowing him in, if he she awoke to find him having sex with her that she had not consented to, that is rape.

The womens judgement may be questionable etc but it is whether Assange committed any criminal wrongdoing that the legal system is interested in.
3. These are the allegations against Assange- its not just about not using a condom.

Unlawful coercion

On 13-14 August 2010, in home of the injured party [A] in Stockholm, Assange, by using violence, forced the injured party to endure his restricting her freedom of movement. The violence consisted in a firm hold of the injured party's arms and a forceful spreading of her legs while lying on top of her and with his body weight preventing her from moving or shifting.

Sexual molestation (1)

On 13-14 August 2010, in home of the injured party [A] in Stockholm, Assange deliberately molested the injured party by acting in a manner designed to violate her sexual integrity. Assange, who was aware that it was the expressed wish of the injured party and a prerequisite of sexual intercourse that a condom be used, consummated sexual intercourse with her without her knowledge.

Sexual molestation (2)

On 18 August 2010 or on any of the days before or after that date, in the home of the injured party [A] in Stockholm, Assange deliberately molested the injured party by acting in a manner designed to violate her sexual integrity; that is, lying next to her and pressing his naked, erect penis to her body.

Rape

On 17 August 2010, in the home of the injured party Assange deliberately consummated sexual intercourse with her by improperly exploiting that she, due to sleep, was in a helpless state. It is an aggravating circumstance that Assange, who was aware that it was the expressed wish of the injured party and a prerequisite of sexual intercourse that a condom be used, still consummated unprotected sexual intercourse with her. The sexual act was designed to violate the injured party's integrity.

The Rape allegation fulfils the rape criteria in the UK though in a slightly different context maybe in that he did not seek permission before engaging in intercourse as she was asleep.
4. Julian Assange has been at that embassy for a couple of months now and no secret was made of the fact he was trying to claim asylum, yet I hadn't seen such a high profile police presence there before the last couple of days. It is also only now that asylum has been granted that the UK legal beagles, media and Government officials are saying that it cannot be granted as he does not fit the criteria.

I am a fan of wikileaks but not so much Mr Assange and I feel he should face the music re the alleged offences he has been accused of. However, whilst I can't escape the thought that the same fate awaits him as Bradley Manning, I don't understand why if the US do want him they don't apply via the UK especially when the extradition treaty the UK has with the US is loaded in their favour?
5. Cluster of large chocolate brown leaves at base, long brown thin stalk with orange flowers at top Overall plant size looked to be 3 - 4 feet tall. No photo as I passed them in car yesterday.
6. Apologies for reviving old thread but I think I am heading down that path again!

I lost all on the computer but got it repaired quite cheaply and all was well. Recently the screen / keyboard has been sticking to the extent that alt / control/ delete won't fix it and i have had to turn computer on and off. The computer or fan has been whirring and according to speccy the temp has been around 57 degrees , i have done something to reduce the power but it still whirrs btw please don't confuse me for anyone who knows anything about computers,

I run cc cleaner regularly and still seem to have quite q bit of free disk space, all is backed up on an external hard drive so now do i wait for the blue screen of death to haunt me again or is there anymore a complete computer numpty can do?
7. It has been given a good wipe around with diluted bleach and a run on hot with an empty load except sanyol in the powder compartments and it has come up a bit better , hopefully with a few more days of wiping with bleach will do the trick.

The machine is left open in between uses and that has helped most of the rubber but one part stays black. Will suggest trying powder and see if that makes a difference.
8. The rubber areas in the washing machine have black mould on them and it mostly fades and dries and is unsightly but no problem . But in some areas it stays damp and becomes thick and hard to remove. Is there anything that will remove it and can be used to keep it off or at bay?
9. I have a lawnmower that I think was from Bricorama and it conked out some years ago and I bought a new one. Don't think it was a well known brand. Son wants to fiddle about with it and the first thing we have decided it needs is a new sparkplug cover /boot as the old one tore and perished some time ago but cant rememeber what the old one looked like! For the technically minded , does one size fit all and any help with the name in French please coiffe de bougie d'allumage is the best I can think of.

10. Yes but they are atheletes and nothing more. Paid to run jump etc, far too often politics or other matters rear their heads in sports.

Now we have have other athletes from countries that are keen to assert their pride in being from Scotland and Wales competing but we don't have an anthem that reflects that.

Yes the countries have had 7 years or even longer to sort this out but there does seem to be a bit of an attitude eminating from London / England that God save the Queen is the ONLY anthem that should be heard. It's not the athletes fault and I don't blame them for competing and keeping quiet if they want to , but I do think the issue of a more inclusive English / British national anthem should be debated properly at some point but it would probably just turn into a 3 line whip.
11.
2.  Some people playing for our team thought it right not to sing the national anthem. If they want to be in the team, they should sing; if they ''can't'' or won't, they should be somewhere else.

Hear, hear!
Why should they?

Wales and Scotland have their own anthems. Is the "national" anthem , the English anthem or the British Anthem?

If you are British and a republican and / or an atheist/ non-Christian then the anthem excludes you as it is a homage to one person and not the Nation.

I really think that in 21st century this needs to be revised to make it more inclusive. I won't sing it.
12. I turned on my cheap mobile yesterday and it asked for the clé reseau, I don't know why it wanted this or where to get it!

It was bought with an orange sim card, but I was able to use a different sim card after a certain time and by getting a code from Orange. I don't know if I need to go back to orange but as I am not using their card anymore, I don't suppose they will be much help.

I do have the phones IMEI no on the box but cannot use my phone for anything until I put in the right number. anyone know how I can find it please?
