Anyone know of some good board games I can order for Christmas from 'you know who' - not monopoly pleeeeeese - age range not important but not too taxing! (i.e. after lunch/dinner stuff). Thanks.

My three chaps, 24,21 & 13 still insist on stockings even though I now but barely anything in them - just token bits. The older ones quaff Mr F C's drinks and the younger one scoffs the bits for the reindeer. We all put the presents out together Christmas Eve, but noooo prodding etc. Pretty difficult to ensure as they can stay up 'till the morn!! Still all good fun, especially the weird and wonderful board games I seem to choose from a certain online retailer. On that thread, can anyone recommend a couple of really good games, not too complicated (after lunch/dinner!), not the dreaded monopoly pleeeease - 'cos I always lose. Thanks.

The 'boys' (OH also) have for the last four years been to Pas de la Casa (not quaint but apparantly good food and apres ski) and Axe les Thermes. Planning on Axe again this year - easy access to the slopes and reasonable restos in the town. Seems there are packages to be had, if not Carca airport and the drive. A reasonable road but be prepared to use chains if not in a 4 x 4.

Thanks for the replies. I'm more than happy to wander (remember the song? - I love to go blah blah ....) - will be wandering through all the salons now - best clothes for a Sunday on this one though. Am a little nervous of going off thread in case someone gets cross with me, but might risk it!

Am beginning to feel v. thick - is this site the same as the Lounge or what. Do we use this one only on a Sunday/weekend, rest of week allowed to wear dirty/scruffy clothes in the daily lounge? Someone answer or I will have to spend twice as long on the 'puter trawling through both salons!

Re the cats - we put the little elastic collars with bells on them (Leclerc, Giant, Pet Stores) - was assured by a person in the know these were fine, no danger to the cats.

With family flying fairly regularly in and out we have decided to think of it as a bus service. A - B (hopefully!), perhaps on time, usually reasonably cheap and no frills.
