  1. I received this email a couple of days ago when I was desperate for the two cocker spaniels - she sounds really lovely - I will pm you her number........

Hi I'm Erika who spoke to you earlier.

My Phone number is ********  I have a mini schnauzer and a puppy border terrier and 2 cats. I am willing to foster. My address is Le Patis

St Germain De Longue Chaume which is in 79. 12 k from Parthenay going west.

    Kind Regards Erika (Rick)

  2. Oh that's a shame - but I know that two together might have been a problem for her unless it was just short term and she knew they had a home to go to.  That was the deal with the two terriers, otherwise she's always happy to take one at a time.  I know they need to stay together but maybe in the short term they could be split just to get them somewhere safe?  I will search my contacts to see if there is anyone else who might help out - how big are they?

  3. Thanks Jouals - will definitely try that link - but in the meantime I have found a temporary foster home for one of them after Christmas......... same lady that helped me with the two terriers bless her!  Their owner has promised me she will hang on till then and I am going to get them away somehow as soon as I can in the new year.  So some light at the end of the tunnel for these two hopefully.

  4. Safi and Tilli - have two weeks to find a home before their English family have to leave France.  Don't want to hear how awful this is........ we KNOW it is and the family are in a mess and all I want to do is help the dogs.  They are both female, vaccinated, chipped and spayed.  The blue roan is 11 years old and is very very gentle and loving.  The buff ons is only four and a little excitable when she's been left and the family come home but very kind and sweet.  They are near Narbonne and will be going to the Spa in Carcassonne if a home can't be found for them within the next two weeks.  I will be getting more information about cats etc - they are both very good with children as there are four in the family.

  5. You've seen her before but she's still with her foster family and needs to find her forever home.  Lovely natured, good in the house, with other dogs (hates cats) and deeply affectionate.  Chipped, vaccinated and sterilised she's the prefect dog who would love to be top of someones list for cuddles all to herself.  She's three years old and has much to offer.  She's been nicely socialised with her English family who say she's just the perfect dog.  Surely there's a loving place for her out there?

  6. Scruffy and Alex were taken the long journey to their foster mum yesterday!  There they will stay till the end of the month when their new family will collect them when they get back from the UK.  So many thanks go to neighbour Charlotte who liaised with the owner, David who did the long journey to get them and deliver them safely to Katrina who is fostering them.  It can't be done without good people like these!

  7. Happy to say that this little darling (and she is a darling) is going to a new home in the next couple of days.  Very kind English couple are going to take her.  She has been suffering in the cold and had some unpleasant treatment at the hands of her owner....... expletive that describes what I would like to do to the owner!  I am so happy for her and full of gratitude to Sally and Pete!

  8. I am so pleased for this little man...... as you say Christine, another one out of that miserable place.  Having said that I was told a story this morning by a lady who is an SPA inspector in the Creuse, about three dogs they are trying to rescue from a man who leaves them out in a small pen with no shelter and only feeds them maybe once a week or even LESS!  Can you believe this?  It has been reported by English neighbours who can't stand to watch it anymore - these poor dogs are out in the snow and there have been no human tracks to bring them food in over a week with temperatures below -10c......... I have been in tears just thinking about it.  They are trying to get them out but it's taking an age.........  for these three poor creatures and SPA refuge would be heaven!
