  1. Hi Steve, Have you tried contacting Brittany Writers Magazine I understand they are trying to help promote existing and new writing talent in France, through their website. I met with one of the editors last week in Carhaix - Seemed really keen to move things along. He also suggested that their road-show for writers could also be open to artists of all genres. I must admit I like the idea of this. Grant funding for a dedicated imprint is also looking likely. Good luck with your idea Steve. Linus.
  2. Thanks for the replies folks. I have, and still do work for no money, or prizes. The way I see it, might as well keep writing and practicing. Also I have picked up the odd commissioned piece from a no fee gig. In recent years, about 75% of my work has been corporate, either printed lit, or web content. If I go back 10 years it was 75% published and 25% web and corp. As things stand, there is too much competition, forcing low fees from publishers. Gotta do something to earn a crust!
  3. Thanks Will, are you a freelancer? I still write regularly for my old UK gigs, but was wondering if there were any new outlets here in France.
  4. I have enjoyed reading the George East books. Very amusing. I think he now lives in Brittany. Has anyone else read his work?
  5. Having only been in France for a few months I was wondering if anyone has had any work published by English language publications, magazines or local newspapers in France. If anyone knows of any outlets I would appreciate a message. Linus.
  6. Why not try using the French property portals as a private vendor, they are usually free. Linus
