Hi everyone just looking for some feedback, me and my family will soon be moving to Normandy.At the moment we run a very successful business working on historic buildings using lime and natural earth mortars for repointing repairs and complete restoration of buildings.Is there much call for UK specialist in this type of work.Are main business will still be running in the UK as we are always very busy.Just thought that some of the British property owners in France may like someone with this type of knowledge who they can communicate with easily.

  3. Hi trying to find out how easy it is to buy a property in france I would be looking at around 75,000 euros and have 20,000 to put down as a deposit.Could i do this from the uk.thanks for any feedback.

Hi,me and my family are thinking of moving over from the isle of wight,We would be joining family that have been in MAYENNE northen france for around 5 years.I have been working as a stone mason restoring old buildings from manor houses to farm buildings repairing and repointing using lime mortar and enjoy every minute of it.Would anyone have any ideas of any opportunities for this type of work.I know there are many great stone propetys to work on but not sure about leaving the uk and the best way of finding more work.Also we speak good french,also would any know how much a mason charges for work such as repointing, replacing stone etc is it per hour or is it per job would be great to get some feed back .many thanks jamie
