    Normally there is no water added. But I said, some people add about 5kg of sugar to 100kg of fruit. This is done by a thick sirup, which has to cool down before you add it. But most important is to talk to the "distillateur" before you start all this work. but, by the way, do yiou know, you can just cut pears in nice pieces and sterilize them and have them without the effects of alhohol. It is much healthier, but of course less fun

    Keni, In Perigueux there is the salon de habitat normally around april, a nice exposition where you can meet the different professionals demonstrating their energy saving products. There should be equivalent in other departements.

    But as I already said: you won't get any more the credit impot on an air-air heating pump.

    And I would like to apologize to all those I bored with my discussion on nuclear power. Can we just wait a little bit till the year 1.002.009

    The measures for schemes carried out in 2008 include low temperature boilers (15%), insulation and double glazing (25%), wall insulation (25%), rainwater harvesting systems (25%), heat pumps (50%), solar energy (50%), and wood burning stoves (50%). Certain of these percentages are increased if the works are carried out on an older property within two years of purchase.

    Low temperature boilers and 'air-air' heat pumps have been removed from the list of eligible works for 2009.

    The maximum eligible costs are €8000 per person, or €16,000 for a couple.

    WHY CANT I QUOTE??as others do??

    I assume the whole system gets hot then cools, gets hot then cools etc Whether this has a detrimental effect due to the 'hot' not being used I have no idea.

    That's what it should do. Once the water in the tank is too hot, say 90 degrees Celsius, there is a system that cuts off the pump, running the liquid in the panels. The vacuum tubes I have, survive more then 260°C my plumber told me and will cool down again at night and .. so it should be no problem

    but

    you should have seen me, when there was my first

    electricity cut off and nothing worked and the Perigordan sun did her best. My plumber on the phone told me to keep cool and just have my aperitif. When electricity came back after seven hours by 6pm, the panels had only a temperature of 130°c (because the hotter they get, the more energy they send right back to the surrounding air).

    Then the system did not start working ... (another telephone call to my plumber) of course it was not allowed until the liquid from the panels was cooled down enough not to ruin the tank. By 8pm

    the system started working as good as ever and it was me, who was then cooled down by a bottle of white Bergerac
