Hi, My husband, myself and 15 year old daughter are moving to the Dordogne in September. Specifically we are moving to Corgnac sur L'Isle, approx 5 km from Thiviers. Does anyone have any experience or advice regarding any youth clubs or activties in the area were she could meet new friends as I am sure that this will make the transition easier for her. She will hopefully be going to the secondary school in Thiviers but her French is not that good and I thought that the more options that I can research the better. Many Thanks, Diane Parker

Many thanks for your comments and support. They were appreciated. I have e mailed the secondary school in Thiviers asking for information and a meeting with the headmistress. It is a very stressful time for us all at the moment and no signs of it becoming any easier in the near future. We are trying to stay positive although staying sane may be a little more difficult!! Hi, My husband, myself and 15 year old daughter are moving to a village approx 5km from Thivier, dept. 24, in 2 weeks. My daughter is very apprehensive and not too impressed at the moment! I would appreciate any information that anyone can give me on schools in the area and any social clubs etc. I know that if she met some friends that she would settle much easier.
