Re: Mr Terry

I have to say that I've spent a troubled day.

The above gentleman has been the subject of a certain amount of 'media coverage' this weekend. In yesterday's Telegraph, his wife was shown as the one with black hair, the 'other party' (certain, because she has her arms round the other footie player) as the blonde.

But in today's ST, Mr Terry is with the blonde, and the French lingerie model is the one with black hair.

Confused?  OH says that I'm an old **** and that women change their hair colour from time to time, but I'm not so sure. Not much gets past me when it comes to this sort of thing.

Either:

  • The papers are confused ............ or
  • Mr Terry is confused, or .........
  • I'm confused

I can put your mind at rest on one point.  John Terry is not confused and knows exactly what he is doing.  He is reputed to earn £170,000 a week...YES...a week, and still wants to charge fans £10,000 a time for escorting them around the clubs training pitch...without the clubs knowledge.

His best mate Wayne Bridges is probably confused in that he thought he was his best mate only to find out differently.  But then John Terry was always a nasty piece of work and I don't see why receiving all that money for kicking a ball around should change that. Being captain of the national team only means being able to tell the difference between heads and tails and having a big mouth.

No...I'm not really all that fond of soccer nowadays (perhaps you could guess), but I blame the Hungarians.  The day they whipped England 6-3 was the start of the slippery slope.

Interesting point about hair colour. I just wish they'd wear vests!

I also wish our main representatives (eg England captain) were people to look up to; stick by normal rules and the law, be able to put words together properly when interviewed, and avoid ear rings and tattoos in commonly seen parts of their bodies. Grumpy old woman here! ;o) (icon button still missing!)

I'd forgive them their misdemeanours if only they could play football better than the players from other countries?  [:D]
