Mr Coeur de Lion
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3v0-QvgqAE&feature=relatedDon't know if anyone remembers the classic SmallTown Boy by Bronski Beat from the 80's? For me, that was the tune of the 80's, great synth pop.Recently discovered this gem. It's the acoustic version of the song by the same band, except sung by Steve Bronski rather than Jimmy Somerville. It is absolutely brilliant imo. And the fact you can understand the words in this version provides the song with a deeper meaning. Didn't realise the words were so deep and sorrowful.I think the acoustic version is far more powerful and grown up. Give it a listen.

Swissie
A Taste of Honey was the first film I ever saw in English, in 1966. With Rita Tushingham - about a single mum on the streets who ends up being looked after by a young man who is gay. VERY moving - would love to see it again. Swissie
Thanks Quillan - I was so proud, being about 15, that I'd understood most of the English. If I remember correctly it was in a Scouse accent too.You poor Frenchie - how I remember those week-ends of marking endless books and essays. Arghhhhhh. I do miss teaching sometimes - but NOT the marking!

[:)]Steve, I couldn't watch your video, they say it s been deleted..Some music from me, before I carry on with the housework, cooking, marking etc...I know some of you won't like this, but I play it cos I like it. The tenor singing is Ramon Remedios, he's a friend of mine ! I met him years ago on a plane back from Liverpool. He gave me tickets to go and see him at the opera in Marseille and I did, and we became friends.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJQHr9DTyiM
