Russethouse Posted August 1, 2009 Share Posted August 1, 2009 They'll be retired from the forces or civil service, have two dogs, possibly labradors and an estate car (sometimes a Volvo) and never quite finish the renovations, always an ongoing project. One will speak good to passable French, the other will rely on them. They'll have bought a house slightly too far away from their local village to comfortably walk to the shops, forgetting that their fitness and driving ability will decline. They'll start to grow their own, veg and may decide to keep chickens for the eggs. They may start doing a little B&B in a fit of enthusiasm and then discover dealing wth people is no picnic.......They'll begin by shopping at the market, but may not keep it up..................
