Violent Chaos Cairo

Thanks for that link. We've been out all day until a short while ago, and had heard on the radio before leaving that the president had announced he'd step down at the elections in September. Maybe a week ago, before the shootings, that would have been accepted. Things have moved on much further now though. Some interviewed outside Cairo seemed to be suggesting that an old man ought to be allowed to retire with 'his house in order', but those involved in the protests in Cairo shouted otherwise.

Moves by leaders of some of the countries in and heading for trouble like this could maybe have avoided it to some extent by subsidising basic food etc more, and in good time.

I think you are being totally unrealistic, They are too busy topping up their Swiss Bank accounts. Heavily encouraged by the Gnomes. [:D]
