woolybanana
It is a certain member's birthday tomorrow so let's have a forum party!
idun
Well I'll bring along some sausage rolls, jelly and a bottle of fizz. Will that be OK?
woolybanana
I think she is off booze so we'll drink it all in front of her until she gives in and chucks an ashtray at us!
idun
I know that, but I'm sure that she wouldn't mind us having a drink, anyway, I could bring a bottle of that fizz sans alcohol? Maybe for me too, after half a glass of the real stuff, I get very rowdy and silly.[Www]
woolybanana
She won't mind us letting our hair down, I am sure. You've never seen a drunken Banaba. On second thoughts, probably juuust as well.
idun
Well you wouldn't be drunk if you had as much as me, and I think that we all should raise a toast to the birthday girl!!
Loiseau
Ooooh, I'll raise a glass too! Happy birthday C****!!!I'll bring along some fresh-baked brownies if the birthday girl is allowed such things. (And even if she isn't the rest of us would find them toothsome I am sure.) Rose
I'll bring some carrot cake... and balloons [:D]Also, if it's an on-line party I may decide to down a few of the drinks myself... having come to the conclusion that I'll never be able to touch the stuff again in the real world!Happy Birthday Mrs Cxx
mint
Strangely enough, I've always wanted to make a car-shaped cake with swissroll wheels, so I think I'll bring that, shall I?Happy Birthday!
Frecossais
She might like a brew, none of that herbal or fruit stuff, a proper English brew, and maybe some home baking Lancashire style. Eccles cakes?Oh and loads of balloons that will be sent soaring upwards at the end of the party. Can't wait.
Gardengirl
I'll bring some carrot cake [:D]
Oh yes - your carrot cake is delish, Rose! I'll bring some super chocs and some Christmas crackers (I like them all year round!) - always better when a bit tipsy to read out those terrible jokes! cooperlola
Thanks guys, hope you enjoyed the party. I had a very lazy day yesterday (for a change!) but did have a bottle of Mercier which a friend gave us for Christmas - so no, I'm not off the booze.Rose darling, with all due respect, it's bad enough having to have vegetables with the main course without putting them in puddings. Carrot cake - [+o(] - no matter how well made. I actually had duck and salardaise spuds. Yum. No pudding but a compote and a couple of Lindors (also still around from Christmas.) As long as there are dead animals and spuds, I'm happy. The problem with a January birthday - post op' apart - is that there's little point having a party since nobody wants to drive home late at this time of year. I'm thinking of having an official birthday as well. How about during the next Itchy Feet Tour (which I'm planning already)?
