YCCMB
Had he lived to see it, he would probably have been furious that it demonstrated quite clearly (and factually) how much of a bit-part he actually played in the whole thing. Indeed, his name was hardly mentioned throughout!
Clarkkent
Which begs the question: why was his death the lead item on BBC radio and tv news reports? For such publicity being given to this worthless wretch is beyond comprehension!
idun
A journalist was interviewed and he said that RB was incredibly charismatic and charmed both men and women, even hardened journalists. He obviously had 'something' about him or he would not have retained all the interest the press had in him for so very very long.
Clarkkent
If that is so then it speaks volumes about the nature of journalism and the values of journalists. His death was not the most important event in Britain on that day.
Lehaut
If that is so then it speaks volumes about the nature of journalism and the values of journalists. To me it speaks more about what sells newspapers and what the public want to read (biggest selling newspaper in the UK??). Another good reason not to encourage them by buying one.Have seen the first programme as a family, enjoyed it, although for todays generation the sums involved did not seem great until you adjust for inflation.
