Quillan Posted April 1, 2015 Share Posted April 1, 2015 The Royal Navy has always thought that seamen who are vegetarians are a danger to the rest of the crew of their ships. They considered vegetarianism very dangerous and also contagious so they decided to put them all one for ship, HMS Quorn. The current ship is the third to have this name since 1919, is a minesweeper and is crewed only by vegetarians. The idea behind putting them on a minesweeper is because they think that being vegetarian makes you a bit of a wimp and you would not function and be as aggressive as meat eaters in a battle and minesweeping is non confrontational.HMS Quorn Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
