Advantage of Boat Race over Tour de France

I am in that photo, although it was taken a few years back

Nor is it the boat race crew though we did keep the boat in the University Boat House

And the other advantage is that it doesn't take weeks .. only minutes.

Hubby was very pleased with the Cambridge clean sweep, guess where he went!

From what little I watched (as I passed through the lounge) I must say the light blues did look straight, strong and powerful.  Cannot live up to NormanH's feat, but I have rowed the odd boat or two on Windermere before now, and punted on the Cam, to be praised by (my not then) hubby who said I was the first beginner he'd known who did not go round in circles. Only told him later about my previous rowing experience!

Obviously taken in the very early days of photography!
