woolybanana
Saw the BR today for the first time; it has the advantage of being slower to pass so one can watch it a bit longer than the T de F which whizzes by, unless you are on a mountain stage. But it did feel a bit like Made in Chelsea!?
YCCMB
The other big advantage of the boat race over the TDF is that you can't do the TDF in a boat.

Gardengirl
You obviously kept very fit, Norman. Did you watch the boat race?
Judith
And the other advantage is that it doesn't take weeks .. only minutes.Hubby was very pleased with the Cambridge clean sweep, guess where he went! From what little I watched (as I passed through the lounge) I must say the light blues did look straight, strong and powerful. Cannot live up to NormanH's feat, but I have rowed the odd boat or two on Windermere before now, and punted on the Cam, to be praised by (my not then) hubby who said I was the first beginner he'd known who did not go round in circles. Only told him later about my previous rowing experience!

Gardian
Clearly pre-war. The 14-18 one. We’ve seen this before, but I can’t remember which one Norman is.Votes? I’d go for the No 6 (the least good-looking one).

ebaynut
Gosh, I am surprised that a thread debating what is the best between two different races, has been allowed on this forum.Hod the Mod must be busy and missed it. ;-)
woolybanana
Great Bobo in a bucket, ebn, a joke. Well done. Now pop off to the Easter services and get your sins forgiven if that is possible given their multitude?
