Electricity consumption

EDF tell me that my electricity consumption over the last 12 months has been €1.10 per day.

How does this compare with anyone else? Just wanna get an idea so I can see if I am in the norm.

Ours is about 2 Euros, so you're not doing too badly Woolyone according to figures.

Does your figure include heating, by the way?

Ours is €2.91 TTC per day, so you are doing very well in PdeC if you have electric heating.

We used the aircon more than usual last summer, and use it in heating mode when needed.

I have electric heating in two of the bedrooms but dont use it. My visitors keep away in the depths of winter!

We have CdH - 2 rooms. Electricity a bit more than 7€ a day average. Plus two wood burners about three tonnes a season.

Is that 'just' consumption, not including the daily rate or whatever it is called or tva?

I use lots of electricity. I bake a lot and ofcourse have the oven on a lot.

I am very good with lighting etc and empty rooms are not lit, but what with my cooking and freezers, yes plural, and fridges, also a couple of them and the washing, sometimes drying and even sometimes ironing....... the computers and tablets and phones that need recharging, we use a lot.

Just worked it out that we use including VAT and daily rate about 3-4€'s a day and that is too much, but OK.

Not just consumption but total cost including standing charges TVA etc.

In my flat my bill (as opposed to consumption) is 60€ a month for everything, heating,  hot water included.

That includes all taxes etc.

In the house it is much more...about 140€ a month.

It’s an odd thing to compare. Different households’ needs and consumption vary enormously.

What shall we compare next? Our annual consumption of Marmite?

Kong when we lived in France and had a the wood burner with three radiators running off it, we used 7.5tonnes of wood every year[:-))] And in spite of all the forests around us, it was really expensive and sadly not always dry.

Worked out cheaper when gas came to our village and we converted.

Oof! €10+/day (+ about €0.60/day gas and a stère or two of wood /year NOT day!).

A well timed question. We did the calculation last week. Having spent our first full year in our flat, normally three people, occasionally 4, everything electric. 3.2€ per day, that's the bill divided by 365 including TVA, charges, standing charge etc.

No Sir, we have no electric heating, just lots and lots of light bulbs.LOL
