Some insight into why France has fallen behind in medical research

I notice that the writer did not include Oxford amongst the Universities making huge progress.

Add Cambridge, Manchester as just two unis which have huge industrial spinoffs which constitue in many ways the future of the the UK.

France usually buys or steals what it needs. Benefit they spent some of the money chucked down the drain in good living, wasted administration, foreign wars, cash down the EU drain....... one could go on.

An interesting video from LeMonde

Thanks, a very interesting spot that I missed, in spite of my sub to LeM. Bizarre to see France #35 on that list (following #34 Azerbaijan!). Also, with the Plan de relance - France €6 milliards in comparison with Germany €60 milliards in this area.

Yet, there are many, many start-ups (even if not specifically in this area) as witnessed by most editions (here in Occitanie) of FR's 12-13 (first half).
