Christine Animal
They are trying to capture a crocodile discovered in a two hectare pool near Epinal, situated on the edge of the road only 100 metres from the village of Xertigny. The crocodile is about 1.5 metres long and very difficult to catch with the traps they have installed. Someone saw a van by the pool a couple of weeks ago and they think that is maybe when he was dumped there.http://qc.news.yahoo.com/s/afp/090617/insolite/animaux_crocodile_insolite_1 A suivre ... Gastines
A good story after dinner was telling friends of the Alligators in the River Avon at Iford Bridge near Christchurch,Dorset. No-one believed me and I have won several £20 notes on producing the story as printed in The Echo and reprinted recently for my benefit. There was a circus on the field by the bridge and 3 Alligators managed to escape and get into the Avon. The keeper said as the water was cold they would probably be numbed into staying in the river and dying. 2 where found on the river bank by a dog walker and the third? The Sun did take the opportunity to feature a semi-clad "Model" rowing a small boat and being surprised by the sight of some huge beast at the side of the boat.Wasn't me,honest.Regards. Kitty
News is spreading far and wide about the crocodile des Vosges, even as far as Indiahttp://in.reuters.com/article/oddlyEnoughNews/idINTRE55L3ZU20090622
It's quite amusing that they have to explain to readers that crocodiles only live in zoos in France. Can you buy a crocodile in a pet shop in France? Or are there laws about selling wild and dangerous creatures here?
