Sunday Driver
Do you have electricity?[;-)]Fan assisted ovens cook well and are ecomonical to run. Your best bet is to visit your nearest white goods supplier eg, Gitem and see what is available. They'll deliver and install it for you as well. Meg
Kayc, this sounds about right for French gas ovens. I don't like electric ovens so got mine from UK. The choice over here is limited and you can't get a double oven, or even one with separate grill. Oh and they burn stuff!

Dick Smith
Fan asssited? I told you not to sit on the hotplate, the chef is getting behind with his orders...
Chancer
I was discussing with an English friend tonight her problems with a calor gas oven, she feels that each bottle of gas results in a different temperature (she has checked with an oven thermometer) and she has to readjust her cooking settings accordingly. Then I had a moment of inspiration: perhaps bottled gas ovens are just souped up camping ovens and don't thermostatically control the temperature as would an electric oven. Then we got to questioning whether a UK mains gas oven has a thermostat and couldn't decide. So maybe there is a thermostatically controlled bottled gas oven that actually cooks at an even regulated temperature? But then what would I know about cooking?
Meg
As far as i am concerned my UK LPG oven works no differently to a mains gas oven. ( I mean generally not technically, for i don't have a clue about all that!) No problems at all.
