I1
Can anybody tell me what a LOF and non-LOF dog is. I had assumed it was a pedigree and non-pedigree but my dictionary translates pedigree very differently. Then I thought it might mean registered/non-registered but then no.It seems to apply to French dogs. Many thanks
Kitty
I did a search to find out what non-LOF means for dogs and found this unanswered thread from 2004.Can anyone tell me what it does mean?
Christine Animal
LOF = Livre des Origines Françaiseshttp://www.entre-chien-et-nous.fr/lof.htmlhttp://les-plaines-anchin.fr/index.php?rub=lof#Scene_1Similar to being registered with the Kennel Club I suppose (I'm not much of an expert!).Non-LOF is when they are a breed, but not registered with the Livre des Origines Françaises and in ads you will see "type Setter", or whatever breed is concerned.
