Ron Avery
So what happens when the car comes back on the computer as being SORN'd and "kept" at an address in Sevenoaks??? Those half a million offenders cannot all be tourists!!
AnOther
Quite so Ron but does the French system tie up CT & Insurance with the reg. number I wonder ? If so then a vehicle's status as far as DVLA are concerned should not be a show stopper. The logistics of tying up a system which deducts points, usually in multiples of 3, with one which awards them in small increments should be interesting to work out though. The stand out sentence from the article must be "They behave like the laws of the road don't apply to them" [:D]
giantpanda
Hi!The present solution discussed, only applies to fines. The question of points, still has to be solved. There are at present too many legal problems.Yours, giantpanda
Chancer
The stand out sentence from the article must be "They behave like the laws of the road don't apply to them" [:D]
But surely the proposed legislation will apply to drivers of cars other than BMW's [6]Apologies to Sunday Driver and I am sure many others [:D]
Théière
The article said"Although foreign motorists only make up five per cent of traffic on French roads, they are responsible for 27 per cent of all speeding offences. So that's 73% of the motorist ARE French ha,ha,There but by the grace of God go I!
