Ibizza62
Hi,I am planning to buy a new car at the end of this month. I hesitate between an Opel astra1.3 and a citroen 4, it is for professional use but can also be used for family of 5 during special occasion. According to you, which of them is more comfortable and safe for driving 28 miles a day?
idun
Don't you mean 280 miles a day? 14 miles there and 14 back is frankly not far at all, don't many many people to at least that distance if not a lot more? When we lived in France work was 28 miles away, so that is times 2 each time........... and we just bought an economic car. If 28 miles is right then all I can say is that I would not buy a diesel car, always been told that short distances are not a good idea with a diesel. Jonzjob
Car body stiffness? Why/ What will you be carrying? All cars these days are a monocoque design and as stiff as you will ever need. Or do you mean suspension stiffness? You say Citroën 4? DS4 or C4 and if C4 which model, there are several?
Chancer
I suspect you may be feeding a troll, its a strange first and probably only posting.
andyh4
Or perhaps more kindly, someone whose first language is not English. There are a couple of clues in the sentence construction.Sorry but I am an absolute no-knowledge when it comes to cars so cannot help.
Chancer
I agree with the language but why would someone join a French forum to enquire about the torsional rigidity of a motor car monocoque let alone one being used for domestic purposes? A genuine poster will no doubt respond.
Ibizza62
Well, sorry first for the language, I am not a native english speaker so don't be astonished if I made mistakes. I was born in Finland and moved in France recently.
Jonzjob
I am not sure if anyone really knows what you mean by car body stiffness? If you could explain a bit more please?Don't worry about your English. The native English aren't that good at it at times [:-))]
AnOther
Complete non question really, stiffness, 28 miles per day, what car wouldn't be suitable for that ?I'd do it in my MGB without batting an eyelid !
