Insurance recommendation

We are just in the process of purchasing a small house in the Pyrenees and need to get the insurance sorted out.

At the moment, simply for convenience, we would prefer to deal with an

English company then later on when we get more confident in the

language we intend to use a French company.

Has anyone got any recommendations for an English based company please?

We need house and contents cover and will possibly rent the house out on odd occasions

Forget going with an English company. It is likely to cost you a lot more and you won't get the same level of cover.

I can recommend Bruno Sellier for all your insurance needs, AND they speak English!

We use Generali insurance based in Paris, they have a very good lady who speaks fluent english and is more than helpful,  we have used them for quite a lot and found it invaluable that she speaks english.
