Property in Cauterets

We are seriously considering buying a small chalet near Cauterets and

wondered if anyone else has experience of owning property here.

All seems very friendly on the surface but we have heard one or two tales about the the locals not being happy with the British

We would want to rent the property out for a few weeks a year really

just to cover the costs and  would be grateful if anyone can

recommend any of the management/cleaning  companies in Cauterets.

Did you watch the series :" No going back - Chaos at the castle"? On

Channel 4.The couple featured in this bought 3 appartments in

Cauterets. The series ended just after they bought so don't know how

successful they were. But you can contact them by email if you  do

a search and find their website. Pat.

Yes we did see this programme.

It wasn,t the reason we decided on Cauterets as we have already been

there in the past but we found that all the locals in Cauterets know of

this programme.  As soon as they know you are British its "ah

Channel 4"

Good idea about contacting them though, Ill give it a try.

Sorry I think I got he wrong end of the stick - as usual. The couple

who bought in Cauterets are not the same as the couple in Chaos at the

Castle. And I can't remember the name of the programme about the

Cauterets couple. I know their main house was in Pyrenees Atlantiques.

She had a baby at the end of the series. Pat. ps found it!
