There's an interesting site that lists lots of English speaking traders (mainly Brittany and Normandy plus some UK ones that deliver out here) for all types of services. Plus you can advertise on it for free , too.   Worth a visit,

Thank you, Artykool.  Really useful.  The site says it is for traders in Brittany only - does it include Normandy as well?

It's a pity that none of the traders seems to be showing a Siret number so that you can be (almost) certain that you are dealing with properly registered businesses.

Perhaps Val or nicktrollope know some of the names on this site?

I can - and to be honest, they mostly seem to be legit (more so than another site, the subject of a thread in the postbag...).

I've heard of 1/2 of them.

I did a few checks in the "building services" section and (using a bit of reverse telephone number searching) one can establish exactly who most of them are. I may well join them!

I see that some are from Normandy.  Perhaps they would 'spread further afield' if requested.

Quite a few of them list their websites where you can see their Siret No.s.

I see that the Brit Trader site is available to advertisers across France now rather than just Brittany.
